Born 1994 in Speyer, freelance scenographer and artist. She studied in the stage design class of Prof. Anna Viebrock at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and graduated with distinction in 2020. In addition to a semester abroad at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, she studied stage and costume design at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.
She has worked as an stage and costume assistant at the Bavarian State Opera Munich, Opéra national du Rhin Strasbourg, Salzburg Festival, Bregenz Festival, Vienna State Opera and Zurich Opera House, among others.
She has created her own stage and costume designs and productions at Werk-X Petersplatz Vienna, Espace Périphérique de la Villette Paris, Rote Fabrik Zurich, the Thomas Bernhard Institute and the Semperdepot Vienna.
Petra received the START Scholarship for Performing Arts of the Austrian Federal Government in 2021 and is a scholarship holder of the Mentoring Programme 2022 of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and the Akademie Musiktheater heute of the Deutsche Bank Foundation in the field of stage and costume design. Her model objects were exhibited at the Elektrohalle Rhomberg Salzburg, among others.
In her artistic work, she explores the model as a medium in the performing arts.
Petra speaks fluent English, French and German and is also able to order a Spritz in Italy.
She lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
